Having evaluated 2011 and what worked and what didn't, I have made decisions regarding what to keep and what to simply walk away from. I don't consider this "quitting", rather just stopping what I didn't want to do anymore.
Although the Le' Pre'miere Quarterly was a fabulous concept and one that I followed through the end of the year, it is unfortunately not something I can do justice to by myself. Having a business associate in the beginning made this exciting and new, but trying to pull it off by myself did not work.....for me or the event. Therefore, the Le' Pre' miere Quarterly event will be put on the back burner for 2012. It doesn't mean it's gone forever, just for now.
What I am bringing on board for this year will be what I call "off campus" sales and events. I am excited to be participating in the Dolly Johnson Antique and Art Show in March and look forward to adding more as the year progresses.
The Main Street Antique Trade Days will continue this year with the Flea Market scheduled in October, but not May as it usually is. I am always looking for quality dealers to participate in the sale and can be contacted directly for further information.
I will again be scheduling art classes and workshops during 2012 and look forward to a creative year.
Other events are bubbling under the surface, and although they have yet to materialize where I can announce them, I will keep you informed as information and details become available.
It goes without saying, I could not do it without my loyal customer base and good friends I have made during the last six years running the Shoppe. It is always with YOU in mind that I rearrange, plan, design, create, and, of course, shop!
Let's have a great 2012......if you can see it....it can happen :)
